Israel's only 18 hole golf course in Caesarea reopens in May with a new course designed by internationally-renowned course designer and architect Pete Dye. The course, which was originally created in 1961 by the family of the Baron Rothschild, is 6,512 meters long, can be played at a more welcoming 4,787 meters, and is covered with a special water-saving grass that permits the links style of play. Features include a double-ended practice range, two water features and an attractive nine hole course designed by Pete Dye and his associate Tim Liddy
Half way between Tel Aviv and Haifa, Caesarea is one of Israel's major tourist attractions, featuring excavations from the Mediterranean port built by Herod the Great over 2000 years ago, complete with harbor, aqueduct and amphitheater.
